I myself had repeated trouble on an iPhoto moment , so finger’s breadth crossed on my current attempt , with new patch software program .
It ’s unmortgaged that everyone with Aperture 3 should absolutelydownload this update . However , support document still warn that the thing could deplete up your drive ( albeit temporarily ):

Aperture temporarily uses special space on your hard ride during the upgrade process . This is for the purpose of backing up vital library info and insuring the unity of your data point during acclivity . If you do n’t have adequate space on your hard drive to accommodate the upgrade , Aperture will exhibit a warning dialog . You may need to move your program library to a different hard ride with more place in ordering to elevate it , and then move it back to the original drive when the raise is terminated . Any quad used by Aperture during the upgrade is issue and made available to you again once the raise has finish .
So there ’s that . Anyway , kudos to Apple for speedy response to a known issue . We definitely love to see that ! [ Patch download;release notes ]
