Last night ’s Chuck was , if not a game - changer , then at least a game - clarifier . Now we know on the button what this season is about , and it ’s something that may make a lot of the good guys into the bad guys . Spoilers !
Weirdly enough , the A - plot of “ Chuck Versus Nacho Sampler ” ended up seeming less important than everything surround it – which , count that plot was “ Chuck ’s MIT - dropout doppleganger is working for the bad bozo and , oh snap , he ’s built his own Intersect , ” seems like it should ’ve been a fully grown deal . Yes , now we have steel new , non - faulty Intersect engineering science that pretend uploading new skillsets as easy to as put on a duo of shade ( Take that , “ Epitaph 2″‘s thumbdrive keyrings ! ) … but asunder from a dyad of fight succession , this was play like any other severe weapon / mission for the show ( Even including a spry trip to Dubai and back , to visit Weap - Con , the world ’s grownup arm convention , complete with booth babe and laser penitentiary . I take on it , I kinda want this to be genuine ) . Does n’t this , you know , shift the entire premise of the show ? The instalment end up with Manush , the inventor of the Intersect 3.0 , in US custody , but – What ’s to blockade the political science pressuring him to make lots of Intersects and make an army of spies more capable than Chuck , and just decide to get disembarrass of the troublesome Mr. Bartowski after all ? Hopefully , this ’ll get follow up sometime soon .
Chuck , meanwhile , is make a lot more adequate to on his own , and that was what the episode is really all about : Being A Spy Is Bad . Or , at least , Chuck being a spy is unsound . While Morgan and Ellie eventually figure out that something is go on – in earnest , should n’t Morgan , at least , have realized this a retentive time ago ? – Sarah starts gravel concerned that Chuck develop so good at all this “ undercover agent have no feelings and need to be able-bodied to rest and betray everyone ” material is n’t exactly a near thing . I ’m not sure how I feel about this : On the one hand , yay for character development for both Chuck and Sarah that see them swapping stead , in terms of morality ( and Casey seemingly on the “ wrong side ” by teaching Chuck spoiled habits ) . On the other hand , are we really only being offer the pick of bumbling Chuck who beget the business done by accident / with help and capable Chuck who has managed to suppress all of his persuasion and morals in order of magnitude to get the job done ? Where ’s the mediate ground ?

That enounce , I ended up liking last Nox ’s sequence more than I ’d expected , consider the last couple ; outside of the chief action , Kirsten Kreuk ’s Hannah is oversee to mess up the BuyMore in just the good path that I ’m unsure whether she is a undercover agent or not , and Awesome ’s dull unraveling is a guilty pleasure to watch . Oh , and there was less Jeff and Lester , which is always a in effect thing . We ’re now a third of the way into the season , and hump what the rest of it is kick the bucket to be about . Let ’s see where everything goes from here .
