Chuck and Sarah are at last together , romancing their way across Europe . But is the undercover agent sprightliness the life they sincerely need , or is it time for them to leave it all behind for love ? Not if evil can serve it .
So , what ’s it wish to at last get what you want ? No , I ’m not just verbalise about Chuck Bartowski , who ’s now an official spy with an official undercover agent girlfriend — I ’m mouth about you / me , the devotee , who ’ve been clamour for Chuck and Sarah to get together since the first season . Now that they ’re — “ honeymoon ” on a caravan , shuttling through the Gallic countryside , get ream of sex activity — what has that done to the stress , to the frisson of not being together ? Me , I ’m okay with it , provide we get to see Yvonne Strahovski in more lingerie . I ’m a simple man , who enjoy dewy-eyed delight .
But Chuck and Sarah are dispatch from their backup system , willingly . sheer off from Gen. Beckman , Casey , Morgan , and Ellie and Awesome — who are about to skitter off to Africa — the two shell parakeet are uncoerced to leave the spy biz behind and travel the world together . Until the spy game comes and finds them on the string . A Basque terrorist who needs nailing is enough to get Shuck ( or should it be Charah ? ) to put their pants back on and saddle up .

With her two sassy undercover agent AWOL , Beckman tasks the balance of Team Bartowiski to bring them in . Morgan and Casey , on the route again — and , verily , earn like a Hope and Crosby Road motion picture — fly it over to Europe . No , not for a second do I buy that they ’re in Europe . Even Vancouver sell Europe best than this , but I do n’t give care all that much . Chuck has always live as sort of a poor - man ’s ideal of what international espionage feels like , and that meta - cape goes all the way down to the location . Never having been oversea , Chuck is what Chuck would think Europe looks like .
We get plenty of faker - derring - do , with Shuck handcuff together — twice — taking down the Interpol agent who were hold their Basque villain ( oops ) , and then dispatching the substantial villain who want Mr. Basque for themselves . for certain , it ’s done with a sort of DIY panache , but that ’s not why we see Chuck . No , we watch for the chemistry , and it was in fine form . Morgan got to show his quality , as both a spy and a travel fellow traveller ( “ In my head , the only intellect the aeroplane stay aloft is because I ’m rooting for it ” ) ; Casey ’s ice - man exterior keep thawing , incrementally ; Jeffster sway it unplugged for the Awesomes run - away company ; and , finally , Chuck giving Sarah her unexampled favorite song , Nina Simone ’s “ Feeling Good . ”
“ Chuck versus the Honeymooners ” felt almost like a pilot , itself : it recodified the premise of the show — how do an only dating duad of spy sail both their workplace and their lives ? — putting us back at square one so that we could begin afresh . Not too many appearance get to redefine themselves a yoke of years in . However , the interrogative remains : Where do we go from here ? Well , if Nina Simone ’s playacting , it almost does n’t weigh .
