Emma Stone’s 2024 Oscars dress ripped at the seams — and she saysRyan Goslingis to blame!
“Oh boy. My dress is broken,” the star began, turning around to reveal a broken zipper on hercustom mint Louis Vuitton gown.
According to Stone, the mishap occurred as herLa La Landcostarperformed his epicBarbieballad.
“I think it happened during ‘I’m Just Ken.’ I’m pretty sure,” she added as the audience cheered and whooped.

Stone also warned the crowd that her voice is “a little gone” — which may have been the result of her scream-singing the lyric “And so am I!” after Gosling passed her the mic during the ballad.
Prior to her zipper malfunction, Stone, who won Best Actress for her role as Bella Baxter inPoor Things, turned heads on the red carpet with her Oscars look — a strapless, silk jacquard gown with a stunning architectural peplum skirt.
When asked about the mint-colored dress — the crowning jewel of her memorable award-season style run — during theE!red carpet pre-show, Stone told host Laverne Cox, “I don’t even know how to explain it.”
The actress’ stylist Petra Flannery, paired the gown with a 30-carat yellow diamond necklace, also from Louis Vuitton, while her hair stylist, Mara Roszak, took inspiration from the “classic architecture” of her dress.

Like hisLa La Landcostar, Gosling also rocked a head-turning look at the Sunday ceremony.
Whileserenading Stone and the rest of the Oscars audience with “I’m Just Ken,”the actor nodded to bothBarbieand another blonde icon, Marilyn Monroe, in a hot-pink, bedazzled suit.
From Gosling’s Barbie-pink gloves to the dancers’ bow ties and striped shirts, the costuming was nearly identical to theGentlemen Prefer Blondesscene in which Monroe performs “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend.”
