I give away two batteries yesterday . I have it off , I lie with — it ’s almost the same as chop down like five sure-enough - growth oak tree trees or something , but it was just so bloody well-to-do . And what else are you gon na do with numb batteries ? That ’s exactly why I am jazzed about this Energy Seed concept by Sungwoo Park . You gather up all the batteries that no longer power your digital cameras , baby toy and video remotes , and you deposit them in the base of this lamp . The lamp then burn , because even a mostly spend stamp battery will be able to power an ultra - effective light root . Park seems to conceive this is only a temporary solution , saying :
Of course once the bins are full , we ’re left with the same original problem . Somebody has to collect all those spent battery and reuse them .
But I say , that ’s just pessimism , Sungwoo — if you get some hippy cities like SF and Seattle to install these as breaker point of collection , the great unwashed would participate and the recycling would get done .

gravely , in this macrocosm of half - bake ideas , this one make a lot of good sense to me . Now , to go dig those beat D - cell out of my methamphetamine hydrochloride . [ Yanko Design ]
