We have n’t learn anything recently about the Wrinkle in Time motion-picture show that wasannounced a year ago , but at least cartoonist Hope Larson ( Mercury ) is adapting it into a graphic novel in time for its fiftieth day of remembrance next year .
At the Larson spot panel at Wondercon , she was asked how she got this plum tree assignment . According to Comic Book Resources :
Having been met by a few hearable gasp when she remark that she would be adapting ” A Wrinkle in Time ” earlier in the panel , Larson excuse how her amour in the undertaking came about . Jokingly referring to “ a dinky little consultation ” a year ago when she suggest that it would be the only other author ’s work she could see her self adapting , she was contacted by the publishing company and the estate of “ Madeline L’Engle . ” “ I just ca n’t imagine a volume that correspond me as well as that one , ” she say . “ I wanted to be the one who was gon na screw it up . ”

I knew when I sign on to Wrinkle , before I even start up writing the script , that the record was go to be a giant . It ’s 200 pages of prose , and when you ’re turn with such a beloved news report you ca n’t go in and start write out and reduce as you please .
