•The family relocated to Nashville because of their daughter
•The90210actor has no desire to move back to the West Coast after settling in Tennessee
Jason Priestleyhas no regrets about leaving Los Angeles.
On Tuesday, theBeverly Hills, 90210star opened up about his move from California to Nashville, Tennessee, during an appearance onLive with Kelly and Mark.
“So you moved from L.A. to Nashville, the whole family. What’s that been like? Do you miss L.A.?” Kelly Ripa asked the actor.
“No, I don’t. I don’t miss it at all. Nashville, if any of you have ever been to Nashville, it’s an awesome city,” Priestley replied. “Really fun. You know, we love it there.”
His daughter, Ava, played a big role in his family’s decision to change their home base from the West Coast to the South. (Priestley also shares son Dashiell with wife Naomi Lowde-Priestley.)
“We started looking around at high schools for our daughter and we didn’t like any of the options for her in Los Angeles, so we started expanding our search and we ended up in Nashville, Tennessee, because we found an amazing school there for our kids,” he said.

Also during the appearance, Ripa asked him if his know or watch90210,and the 90s star replied in the affirmative.
“Uh, yes. They know about it,” Priestley shared. “My daughter for a while wanted to watch episodes of the show but only wanted to watch them with me so she could make fun of me. My flip phone, my mom jeans — all the stuff. She thought it was hilarious.”

In September, the actor shared a photo of his daughter on his Instagram after she was asked to the homecoming dance. In the picture, Ava stood just under a sign that read, “Homecoming? Must be at least this tall to say no.”
“Looks like my daughter@ava.priestleyis going to Homecoming!#sorry#sorryhoney#homecomming,” the proud dad wrote in his caption.
