Kate Hudsonwill always put her kids first.
While chatting exclusively with PEOPLE about her new partnership withMyFitnessPal, a health and fitness tracker, the actress, 44, also opens up about the importance of making sure she is present for her three children at the end of each day.
“I am busy, I amreallybusy, but my day is done at 5:00 p.m., and I am in that kitchen making them something,” Hudson says of herkids.

Hudson explains that she makes sure her kids have a healthy relationship with food and often invites them to be around during dinner preparations.
“My kids' relationship to food is healthy because I get them in the kitchen. I get them chopping with me, we talk about what herbs are,” she explains. “I think it’s important to really get your kids involved in the things that you’re doing.”
Still, theAlmost Famousstar says that her busy lifestyle sometimes makes it hard to always spend time with her kids.
“It’s hard to get it together when you are a working mom, and it was especially hard when I was a single mom,” she says. “But at the end of the day, I want people to not put so much pressure on themselves.”

The star previously joked about the fact that each of her kids has a different father during an appearance onSunday Today with Willie Geist. “I’ve got multiple dads, I’ve got kids all over the place,” she said with a laugh at the time.
Hudson then spoke further about her relationship withher kids' three fathersin a November 2022 interview withThe Sunday Times.
“It might not look traditional from the outside, but on the inside I feel like we’re killing it,” she said of co-parenting with the three men. “The unit that I’ve created with three children with three different fathers is a seriously strong unit, and it’s ours.”
