Virgin is setting sail, with an adults-only ship that’s ready to rock.
Sir Richard Bransonis expanding his empire and launching his first cruise line,Virgin Voyages, the company announced. Dubbed, “Scarlet Lady,” the boat is only open to travelers who are 18 and up, and will offer grown-up on-board ammenties like a tattoo parlor, luxurious spa, and a blow-dry bar.
Virgin, which already operates several travel-related related companies including hotels, airlines and a commercial space flight company, Virgin Galactic, announced that their inaugural cruise ship would set sail for the Caribbean in 2020.

Guests will enjoy complimentary meals from a variety of restaurants, such as Wake, a steak and seafood eatery or Pink Agave, a Mexican joint designed to look like an elevated taqueria on the streets ofMexico City.
The ship is also equipped with a food hall, a 24-hour diner, a pizza joint and a test kitchen, where daring guests will each be provided with only a list of ingredients, and the chef surprises them with a dish based on their list.

While much of the ship is built with an adventurous traveler in mind, there are also plenty of places to relax on the ship, such as at the Redemption Spa, complete with hydrotherapy pool, mud room, salt room, cold plunge pools, quartz beds, and rejuvenating spa treatments.
At night, sailors can attend one of the voyage’s evening spa parties where a DJ will transform the spa’s thermal suite into a mermaid hideaway.
Travelers can also take advantage of the ship’s athletic center, which features an outdoor training zone, including a boxing ring and gymnastics equipment. Alongside an area for outdoor gaming, sits the largest daybed at sea, and a sports bar for a post-workout drink. Guests can also partake inyogaorcycling classes.
Scarlet Lady will also be outfitted with a nightclub, multiple pools, and a mani/pedi spa.
At night, guests can rest their head in the ship’s standard cabins, or one of 78 “Rockstar Suites,” which are built for luxury with spacious rooms and fully-stocked bars. Many offer oceanfront views. Suite guests will also have access to “Richard’s Rooftop,” an exclusive outdoor deck where they can drink, tan or socialize.
“Virgin has always avoided stuffy formalities and brought a lot of excitement and a bit of rebelliousness to our customer experiences,” Branson says in a statement. “With these glamorous suites, Virgin Voyages is bringing rock and roll to the high seas and spoiling our Sailors like the rockstars they are.”

The ship’s inaugural trip will sail from Miami to the Caribbean in 2020, and future itineraries will includetrips to Cuba.
