In a February 2023 interview withBillboard, the Australian musician opened up about how his swift rise to fame since debuting in 2018 has impacted his life. “For me, I think I look at it [as] a big blessing. It’s also a bit of a curse,” he told the outlet.
Elsewhere in the interview, he spoke about looking back on his past releases with fondness as he works toward future projects. “The cool thing about music and putting stuff out is it’s like a time capsule, right?” said LAROI. “So, it’s like, ‘Whatever, that’s how I felt at the time.’ And it’s cool that I get to look back, cringe at it, and be proud of the next stuff I’m about to put out.”
