TLC is not the only throwback music group making moves. McLean, 45, teased during Sunday’s panel that “there’s something big coming” on the Backstreet Boys’ end, too.
“Like, it’s big,” he emphasized. “I can’t say anything more about it, but it’s big and it’s never been done ever before.”
McLean noted that the group will be back in the studio and pointed out that a lot of the band members also are busy pursuing solo projects.
“Brian [Littrell]is doing a Christian album,Nick [Carter]’s obviously going on tour. I’m finally going to release my solo album after saying it for years. I know Howie is working on stuff,” thefather of twosaid. “But we are actually going to be, tomorrow and Tuesday, going back into meetings to talk about next year.”

“Probably within the last 10 years, we’ve done five cruise ship-like excursions,” McLean told PEOPLE last month. “We’ve done one in Europe, and the rest were ported out of Miami. We’d go out, either go to the Bahamas or we would go to a destination; we’d get off and then get back on the boat. You’re on a cruise with 3,500 fans; you’re doing deck parties, theme parties, photo calls, two shows, game nights.
“We were like, ‘You know what? This time, we don’t want to be in the middle of the ocean somewhere. Why don’t we just keep our feet firmly on the sand and let’s do a destination?’ I mean, Cancún is absolutely beautiful.”
